Tasks

● Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
● Build reusable code and libraries for future use
● Optimize the application for maximum speed and scalability
● Implement security and data protection measures
● Design and implement data storage solutions
● Manage user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
● Integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system
● Manage hosting environments, including database administration and scaling applications to support load changes
● Handle data migration, transformation, and scripting
● Set up and administer backups
● Output data in different formats
● Understand the differences between multiple delivery platforms (e.g., mobile vs desktop) and optimize output accordingly
● Create database schemas that represent and support business processes
● Implement automated testing platforms and unit tests

Qualifications

● Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field
● At least 3-5  years of experience as a Back-End Developer
● Proficient in one or more back-end programming languages, preferably Ruby, but Python, and JS will also be considered.
● Strong experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and CloudFormation
● Basic understanding of front-end technologies and platforms, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
● Understanding of accessibility and security compliance
● Experience with database management and administration
● Proficiency in data migration, transformation, and scripting
● Experience in setting up and administering backups
● Understanding of the differences between multiple delivery platforms and optimizing outputs
● Experience with implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests

Required Qualifications:

● AWS Certified Developer – Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
● 3-5 years of experience in back-end development with a focus on AWS cloud services
